Welcome to Villa Mariva
Villa Mariva is a beautiful family house situated on the hills just above Opatija. Opatija, a picturesque coastal town on the Northern part of the Adriatic Sea, is known as ‘The Pearl of Kvarner Bay‘. Kvarner Bay connects the Istrian peninsula to the north and Dalmatia to the south.
Villa Mariva is located 300 meters above sea level, in a peaceful small place called Rukavac.
The villa offers a magical view over the islands of Krk and Cres, province capital of Rijeka, National Park Risnjak and mountain Ucka Nature Park which is right in the hinterland.
With the border of the Ucka Nature Park the villa is located in the middle of an oasis of green. Whilst you will find the cleanest air and absolute stillness here, it only takes 10 minutes by car to get to the center of Opatija and/or one of the most beautiful beaches of the Adriatic Sea.
Opatija Riviera
It will only take you 10 minutes by car to come from Villa Mariva to downtown Opatija.
Next to Opatija, along the coast, you will find many beautiful beaches like Volosko, Slatina, Icici, Ika, Lovran, Medveja and Moscenicka Draga. Just to name few. On one end is Volosko – a charming old fisherman place, and the other end is Moscenicka Draga that was selected as one of the most beautiful European beaches.
It is a paradise for people enjoying sun, sea, water sports, good food and strolling along the coast.
Lungo Mare, a 12 kilometer long magical promenade, connects Volosko and Lovran. This offers a scenic coastal walk with Opatija as the central resort town.
Along the way you can enjoy the beauty of Adriatic Sea, make numerous stops to swim, enjoy a refreshment or a delicious Mediterranean meal at one of the many seaside restaurants and cafes.
